Donald Trump's media company plans to introduce a paid service offering high-speed access to posts on Truth Social, potentially including those from the former president himself. The initiative, named Truth PSI, aims to provide trading firms and other institutions with information in milliseconds, allowing them to capitalize on subsequent market movements in stocks, bonds, and interest rates.

This offering would allow subscribers to receive information from select Truth Social contributors ahead of others. According to a press release, the service would grant access to posts from "the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts." Trump, the largest shareholder of the publicly traded parent company, Trump Media & Technology, has 12.9 million followers on the platform.

Experts have raised concerns about the potential implications of such a service. Kathleen Clark, an expert in government conflict of interest rules at Washington University School of Law, stated that providing expedited, privileged access to presidential information constitutes "brazen corruption, an improper exploitation of government power to enrich himself."

The Trump family company and Truth Social's parent company did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the specifics of the offering, including whether Trump's posts would be included and the pricing structure.

In recent months, Trump has used Truth Social to announce policy decisions and share his thoughts on various issues, including the Iran war, tariffs, and immigration enforcement. Posts concerning oil prices and potential Federal Reserve interest rate hikes have previously impacted financial markets.

The announcement comes as shares of Trump Media & Technology have experienced a significant decline, reportedly falling 70% since Trump took office. The company has indicated its hope to launch the Truth PSI service next month and has stated that it has already secured customers.
