Trump Lashes Out at Fox News for 'Lack of Coverage' of Ohio Rally

Former President Donald Trump on Sunday launched a rare public criticism of Fox News, accusing the network of failing to adequately cover his recent rally in Vandalia, Ohio. Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his displeasure, suggesting that the network's viewership would suffer if it continued to neglect coverage of his events.

"Sad to see that Fox & Friends (Sunday) is not covering our packed house and incredibly enthusiastic (beyond!) Rally that took place in Ohio last night, or the ones in Alabama, Texas, or Oklahoma over the past two days," Trump wrote. He added that if Fox News does not cover his rallies, "they will very quickly stop watching."

The rally in Ohio was held to support Republican Senate candidate Jon Husted and gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy, just weeks before the November midterm elections. Trump also criticized specific Fox News personalities, including panelist Jessica Tarlov, whom he described as a "stupid" voice.

Trump further alleged that Fox News executives were making decisions that sidelined coverage of him, referencing the departure of former host Maria Bartiromo. "Who makes these decisions at FoxNews? Probably the same loser that fired the great Maria Bartiromo because she complained about not being allowed to cover ‘TRUMP,’" he posted, predicting Bartiromo would "end up bigger and better than ever."

The former president warned that Fox News was risking its ratings by focusing on "the opposition to Greatness for America," comparing its potential decline to that of CNN and MSNBC. He recalled a previous instance where the network "almost went out of business" and suggested a similar fate could befall it again.

Despite his broad criticism, Trump later posted graphics and a segment from Fox News that highlighted his administration's efforts to address alleged Obamacare fraud, indicating a complex relationship with the network that has often been seen as favorable to his political movement.
