Trump Fires Up Ohio Rally With Explicit Remarks, Criticizes CNN Anchor

Former President Donald Trump brought his characteristic energetic style to a rally in Vandalia, Ohio, on Saturday, where he campaigned for Republican Senator Jon Husted and Vivek Ramaswamy, a candidate for governor. During his speech, Trump used explicit language to describe Democrats and took another jab at CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins.

Trump's appearance was part of a campaign blitz ahead of the November elections. He is scheduled to visit several states, including Ohio, a key battleground. Husted is running to retain his Senate seat, which he was appointed to fill following the departure of Vice President JD Vance. The Senate race in Ohio is considered critical for Democrats seeking to gain control of the Senate, with incumbent Sherrod Brown facing Republican Bernie Moreno.

At the rally, held at Butler High School near Dayton, Trump encouraged voters to turn out, stating, "You gotta get out and vote and if you do, we're gonna' win big and we're gonna shove it up their a**." He also referred to Democrats as "dumb sons of b[---]" and reiterated his nickname for them, "Dumbocrat."

Trump also directed criticism towards Kaitlan Collins, a CNN anchor he has frequently targeted. "She's such an unhappy person," Trump said of Collins. "Young, nice person but she never smiles. She's a very unhappy person."

The rally featured other speakers, including Ramaswamy and Husted, as well as a motivational address from former NFL coach Jon Gruden. Gruden, who hails from Ohio, expressed his pride in his home state and his support for the Republican candidates.

Trump's remarks on the economy contrasted with voter sentiment, as polls indicate frustration with the high cost of living. Despite Trump's assertion that "Your state is booming. Every - I hate to say it - every state is booming," recent economic news in the Dayton area includes layoffs at a local truck factory.

In the gubernatorial race, Ramaswamy, a wealthy biotech entrepreneur and former presidential candidate, is facing a close contest against Democrat Dr. Amy Acton, the state's former COVID-era health director. Despite significant fundraising and advertising, Ramaswamy's campaign is reportedly in a tight race.

Ramaswamy spoke at the rally, expressing gratitude for the opportunities available in the United States for his immigrant family.

The President was campaigning for Republican Senator Jon Husted's reelection and former DOGE co-chair Vivek Ramaswamy in his campaign for governor

The 80-year-old Trump's speech was well received by his followers, if far more subdued than Gruden's earlier message

Trump had plenty of backup with Ramaswamy and Husted both speaking, as well as a pep talking from Super Bowl-winning NFL coach Jon Gruden
