Donald Trump is experiencing historically low approval ratings concerning inflation, a key issue that may have contributed to his previous election success, according to CNN's chief data analyst Harry Enten.

Enten stated that Trump's net approval rating on inflation is currently a "laughably bad" -50 points, based on a recent CNN/SSRS poll. This comes amid persistent high inflation and a sluggish economic expansion.

Reviewing historical polling data on presidential approval related to inflation, Enten found that no previous president had recorded such negative ratings. "There has never been a president before President Trump who had ratings this bad," Enten said, emphasizing the unprecedented nature of these figures.

Further poll results underscore public concern. A significant 70% of Americans believe the nation is on the wrong track in addressing the cost-of-living crisis. Even within the Republican party, 50% share this sentiment, indicating broad dissatisfaction with the economic situation.
