Trump was visible on the stadium's jumbotron shortly after midday local time. Dressed in a suit and red tie, he acknowledged the cheers by smiling and pumping his fist from a luxury suite, where he was seated with Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn. His arrival followed an Air Force One flyover of the stadium, with the presidential aircraft having landed at McGhee Tyson Airport earlier in the day. His entourage included Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Senator Bill Hagerty, and Representative Tim Burchett.

The presence of the former president necessitated a significant security operation on the University of Tennessee campus. The US Secret Service managed a visible perimeter around the stadium, with agents, tactical teams, and K-9 units present. The large crowd began processing through security checkpoints early in the morning.

Trump's attendance also presented tactical considerations for the coaching staffs.
