President Trump announced Wednesday that a preliminary understanding with Iran is no longer viable, stating he will cease dealings with the country's leadership.

"To me, i think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re scum," Trump said in response to a reporter's question about the memorandum of understanding he signed on June 17. "They’re vicious, violent people… so far as I’m concerned, it’s over."

This declaration followed overnight airstrikes ordered by Trump on 80 targets after Iranian forces reportedly attacked three commercial ships.

"So far as I’m concerned, it’s just a waste of time dealing with them. They’re liars," Trump stated. "They’re liars, they’re cheats, they’re sick people. Frankly, I don’t want to waste my time with them. Now I’ll let our wonderful negotiators keep talking if they want, but I don’t see it."

The situation remains under development.
