Former President Donald Trump indicated he would adopt a strategy of using veto power extensively if Democrats win control of one or both chambers of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.
In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Trump stated, "If that happens, I guess I'll become Mr. Veto," adding, "And then at some point, we’ll probably make deals."
The remarks suggest a potential approach to legislative obstruction should Republicans face setbacks in the November elections, which could shift the balance of power in Washington.
