Trump Cuts Camp David Visit Short, Returns to White House
The former president was seen departing Marine One with golfer Bryson DeChambeau and his girlfriend, Mikayla Demaiter, after an abbreviated stay at the presidential retreat.
Former President Donald Trump concluded an early departure from Camp David on Saturday night, returning to the White House. He was accompanied on Marine One by golfer Bryson DeChambeau and Demaiter, a model and former hockey player.
Photographs captured DeChambeau and Demaiter disembarking from Marine One at the Ellipse near the White House. One image also showed DeChambeau seated next to Trump on the helicopter during the flight.
The White House has not provided a reason for Trump's shortened trip to Camp David. However, his departure occurred amid a security alert issued by the State Department, which warned of potential "unforeseen escalation in the Middle East" and advised Americans to be aware of possible flight cancellations and airspace closures.
Trump has maintained a relationship with both DeChambeau, 33, and the elder golf statesman Gary Player, 90.
DeChambeau previously gained attention for a viral video of a golf outing with Trump in July 2024, which was part of a charity event. Demaiter, who has a significant following on Instagram, was seen with DeChambeau in August at a LIV Golf event held at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.
