Former President Donald Trump has broken his silence on the reported decision of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to return to the United Kingdom with their children.

"I'm happy about it," Trump stated regarding the couple's reported move from Montecito, California, back to the UK. He added, "I was not a fan," noting his positive relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles.

Trump expressed his disapproval of how the couple, particularly Markle, had treated the royal family. "I thought they treated the royal family with great disrespect. I didn't like it. I didn't like the way she acted," he said. "I thought she was terribly disrespectful to the Queen, to King Charles," Trump added, referring to Markle's conduct and the couple's decision to step down from their royal duties.

He commented on the royal family's potential response, stating, "I don't know, maybe I'm different. I wouldn’t have taken them back." He further elaborated, "If I were the royal family, I would not have taken them back."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly informed King Charles last month of their plans to relocate to Britain with their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, who are expected to start school there in the autumn. The family will maintain their residence in Montecito and a separate vacation property in Portugal.

The couple, while appearing to lead a private life in California, have reportedly expressed disillusionment with the current U.S. administration. Concerns about the direction of the United States have been prominent, particularly with the upcoming November midterm elections.
