Former President Donald Trump has weighed in on the prospect of Andy Burnham, the current Mayor of Greater Manchester, potentially succeeding Keir Starmer as leader of the UK Labour Party. Campaigning during the Makerfield by-election, Burnham had previously stated that the United Kingdom should avoid what he termed the "polarized, poisonous politics" of the United States.
When asked about Burnham, who is seen as a frontrunner, Trump characterized him as "the mayor of a town" and remarked that he had heard Burnham was "extremely liberal."
