Former President Donald Trump announced Monday that Ukraine and Russia have agreed to cease attacks on each other's energy infrastructure. The announcement came via a post on Trump's Truth Social account.
Trump stated that Ukraine has "agreed not to hit Russian Energy targets," and Russia "has agreed to do, likewise." He asserted that the recent global rise in diesel prices is "mostly caused by the Russia/Ukraine War, not Iran."
This development follows Trump's statement a day prior, where he indicated that Kyiv's strikes on Moscow's diesel facilities were "hurting the world."
According to AAA, the average nationwide price for a gallon of diesel fuel reached $6.23 on Monday morning, marking a record high. The cluster notes do not provide further details on the agreement or its verification.
