During a campaign rally in Ohio this weekend, former President Donald Trump asserted that he possesses superior knowledge to everyone, with a singular, albeit quickly dismissed, exception.

Trump, while promoting a promise of a $5,000 payment to every American if Republicans maintain control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections, told the crowd, “I know more about everything than anybody in this room. Anybody anywhere in the world.”

He then pointed to a woman in the audience, describing her as a housewife with a "natural instinct for business." Trump stated, "She perhaps knows more than I do but I actually don’t think so," before reiterating his initial claim.

The remarks quickly generated widespread ridicule on social media. Several commentators responded with skepticism and criticism. Mehdi Hasan of Zeteo alluded to the 25th Amendment, while others questioned Trump's self-perception and mental state. One user suggested that the "most extraordinary part of this speech is that he briefly considered the possibility that another human being possessed knowledge before deciding that was ridiculous."
