Trump Claims He Deserves Eight Nobel Peace Prizes, Slams Norway for Awarding Prize to 'Mystery Woman'

Former President Donald Trump asserted on Friday that he is deserving of eight Nobel Peace Prize medals, criticizing Norway for not awarding him the honor and instead presenting it to a laureate he described as a "mystery woman." Trump made these remarks during a rally in Syracuse, New York.

He specifically addressed the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Navi Pillay, whom he referred to as a "liberal person who works at the United Nations." Trump stated, "I never heard of this particular person, but congratulations anyway." He added that in his experience, the United Nations was "of no help to me."

The former president expressed his belief that the United States, under his leadership, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize. "The United States of America, represented by me as your president, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t," he stated.

Trump characterized the Nobel Committee's decision as an "indelible stain on the country of Norway" and a "disgraceful and embarrassing decision." He further alleged that the prize has been "forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti-democracy and, really, enemies of civilization." He concluded this point by saying, "And we will not forget, Norway."

He then claimed credit for stopping "eight wars" and argued that he "should have had eight Nobel Prizes for each war." According to Trump, being overlooked for the award is "just another sign of how Norway and all these others are ripping off our country."
