Former President Donald Trump declared he would be "the greatest Communist in history" while simultaneously attacking Democrats linked to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and accusing them of aiming to "completely destroy the traditional American way of life." Trump made these statements on Friday at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority Conference.

"Communism is very easy to sell, it destroys everything, but it’s very easy," Trump told the crowd. He elaborated on his hypothetical communist leadership, stating, "I’ll be honest, I think I’d be the greatest Communist in history." He described communism as a system that is easy to promote initially, leading to popularity, but ultimately results in a "disaster area" and people living in "squalor."

Trump characterized the rise of the far-left as "the most serious threat to our country since its existence." The former president specifically targeted New York primary winners associated with the DSA, asserting their agenda would lead to national failure within a few years.
