Former President Donald Trump stated that former Vice President Mike Pence requested a photograph together, but Trump refused the request. The assertion was made in the context of a weekly news quiz that also touched upon international peace talks between the U.S. and Iran, a legal development in Scotland, and a unique act of waste disposal in Wales.
The news quiz, compiled by Ben Fell for BBC News, aimed to test readers' attention to global events over the preceding week. While the quiz covered a range of topics, Trump's comment about Pence was highlighted as a point of interest.
No further details were provided regarding the specific circumstances or timing of Pence's alleged request for a photo with Trump.
