Donald Trump recently secured victory in a golf tournament at his Trump National Westchester golf club in Briarcliff Manor, New York. This win follows his triumph in the club championship at his Bedminster, New Jersey course just days prior.
The tournament at Trump National Westchester was an annual "caddies' day" event, where club members or owners pair with caddies. Trump teamed with caddies from his course and achieved the lowest score. The exact score and details of the par-72, 7,300-yard Jim Fazio course were not immediately available.
Following the event, Trump attended a ceremony honoring the caddies and presented them with a $25,000 bonus to be distributed among the staff. A source from the club described Trump as being popular with the caddying staff, stating, "There’s a lot of anti-Trump stuff out there [in the country], but the staff loves him."
Earlier in August, Trump won both the senior and super senior age classes at the Bedminster contest. He commented on social media after that win, attributing his success to "TALENT" and noting that he is given little time to practice due to his focus on "many other things."
Trump now claims to have won 40 club championships at his various courses. A White House assistant press secretary, Olivia Wales, confirmed the Westchester win, stating, "Fact check: true. President Trump is a winner."
