Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow, for Minnesota governor. Trump praised Lindell on his Truth Social platform Wednesday as "one of America’s greatest and most hard working Patriots."
Lindell, often referred to as the "Pillow Man," has been a vocal supporter of Trump and has promoted false claims of widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Trump's endorsement comes a day before he is scheduled to deliver a national address on election security.
"Mike will be SPECTACULAR!!! He truly loves Minnesota, as do I, and wants to bring it back from oblivion and embarrassment. He can do it!" Trump posted, formally backing the fellow election denier.
Trump has also criticized outgoing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who is the Democratic Party's nominee for vice president in 2024. Trump accused Walz's administration of mismanagement and alleged fraud in federal childcare spending, employing what the source describes as racist rhetoric targeting the state's Somali immigrant population. Walz disputes these characterizations.
