Former President Donald Trump renewed his criticism of CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins, launching a personal attack on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday. Trump referred to Collins as a "Very dumb and unhappy Fake News CNN ‘reporter’" and characterized discussions on her show as "FICTION AND LIES."
He also criticized CNN's ratings, stating the network is "suffering terribly" and should replace its "3rd rate ‘anchors’" to regain credibility. Trump asserted that the network "is fading FAST."
The former president did not specify which segment of Collins's program prompted his latest remarks. However, this is not the first time Trump has targeted Collins. He has previously used terms such as "stupid" and "nasty" when referring to her and has criticized her for not smiling, actions that are part of a broader pattern of him insulting female journalists.
Collins has not issued a public response to Trump's recent statement. Trump concluded his Truth Social post by promoting the upcoming first-ever GOP midterm convention in Dallas, where he is scheduled to speak on both Wednesday and Thursday.
