President Trump has asked Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign from her post in Greece, White House press secretary Katie Zacharia announced Tuesday at her first briefing.
"We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign," Zacharia said. "She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well."
Guilfoyle, who is the ex-romantic partner of Donald Trump Jr. and the former wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom, has faced accusations of improperly pressuring a donor to cover a $100,000 credit card bill and mistreating staff members.
