Trump Amplifies Kid Rock's Warning of Religious Conflict in Michigan

Former President Donald Trump amplified rocker Kid Rock's warnings about a potential religious "civil war" in Michigan, sharing a video in which the musician voiced his fears and criticized Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Trump reposted the clip late Sunday on his Truth Social account.

In the video, Kid Rock, a native of Michigan, expressed his concerns about religious tensions, specifically mentioning Dearborn, a Detroit suburb with a significant Middle Eastern and North African population. "I don’t know if people understand how it got to be one of the biggest Arab populations outside the Arab world," he said.

Kid Rock stated his worry that "extremists and...milder versions of it" exist, adding, "I don’t want my grandkids to one day have to fight some civil war over religious ideology." He then directly addressed El-Sayed, a candidate challenging Republican Mike Rogers for a vacant Senate seat, calling him "a wolf in sheep’s clothing."

This is not the first time Trump has publicly criticized El-Sayed. Days prior, Trump referred to El-Sayed on Truth Social as a "Jihadist lunatic who hates our Country, the Black People of Detroit, and wants to see the U.S. fail."
