Former President Donald Trump stated Thursday that China had stolen the voter registration data of 220 million Americans, calling the incident an "unprecedented election security nightmare."
The former president made these remarks during a primetime speech.
Reports indicate that some government officials were aware of China's acquisition of at least some voter registration data as early as 2020. This data reportedly included names, addresses, party affiliations, and Social Security numbers. However, officials did not inform Trump about this breach before the 2020 election.
