The Trump administration has released a new collection of declassified files concerning Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), previously known as UFOs. This fifth release includes numerous reports and videos that had been withheld from public view.

Among the newly disclosed accounts is a military pilot's description of a silent, 500-foot triangular object observed over Bagram Airfield, a U.S.-operated base, in 2002. According to an FBI interview summary, the pilot and another individual were observing the night sky when stars began to disappear, suggesting a large object was passing overhead. The witness described the object as an equilateral triangle moving silently and steadily across the sky, without visible lights, and estimated its speed at approximately 173 mph. The second pilot reportedly corroborated the sighting.

The same file notes that the pilot reported witnessing unexplained lights during subsequent commercial flights beginning in October 2023. While flying between Boston and Dublin at 37,000 feet, the pilot observed lights hovering approximately 13,000 feet above the aircraft. These lights reportedly brightened and faded cyclically and exhibited movements inconsistent with known aircraft, meteors, satellites, or Starlink technology. The pilot claimed to have observed this phenomenon roughly 10 times over periods of 45 minutes to two hours.

Another report details a large metal sphere that allegedly crashed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1963, creating a 13-foot-deep crater. The object reportedly featured window-like openings with thick glass and contained a body dressed in heavy clothing with undecipherable markings.

Another file recounts claims that a large metal sphere crashed into the center of Brazil's Rio de Janeiro in 1963, gouging a hole 13 feet deep

Additionally, a separate FBI file describes an encounter in Colorado Springs in October 2023 with a large, black triangular object. A witness reported seeing a dark-gray, seemingly pixelated cloud from which a red light emerged. An enormous solid-black triangle, estimated to be as large as a parking lot and three to five stories thick, then appeared with red lights at each corner. The object allegedly accelerated rapidly to Mach 1 or Mach 2 without generating noise or visible propulsion. Waves of shimmering distortion, similar to a heat mirage, reportedly radiated from the craft. The witness also noted that his phone call to his wife became distorted and sounded "robotic" after the object disappeared.

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that the Department of War is committed to working with President Trump to provide transparency regarding the government's understanding of UAP. He added that these declassified documents demonstrate the administration's commitment to openness, as such files have long fueled public speculation.

It is important to note that these records preserve witness statements and media reports, and do not present verified government findings or evidence of extraterrestrial origins for the observed phenomena. The FBI reports document the witness accounts without offering conclusions or independent verification of the reported details, such as size, speed, or altitude.
