Country music star Trisha Yearwood, 62, made a rare red carpet appearance on Monday evening, showcasing a slim figure in a chic pantsuit at the Best Friends Animal Society’s Benefit to Save Them All in New York City. The event was hosted by "The View" co-host Sara Haines.
Yearwood’s appearance featured a departure from her usual style, with her hair styled in a shoulder-length bob instead of her signature long blonde locks. She was seen posing with fellow guests, including singer Michelle Williams and Best Friends Animal Society CEO Julie Castle. Yearwood shared photos from the event on her Instagram, captioning them: “Celebrating our four-legged friends at the Best Friends Gala! Thank you for having us and for all the work you do @bestfriendsanimalsociety 🐾.”
Yearwood, who is married to Garth Brooks, has previously been open about her approach to health and fitness. In a 2013 interview, she discussed her journey of losing 30 pounds over four months by adhering to a "low-fat, low sugar" diet approximately 90 percent of the time. At the time, she mentioned trying numerous diets throughout her life.
She also incorporated regular exercise, including attending Zumba classes at least three times a week. Reflecting on her weight in a 2015 interview, Yearwood stated that she experiences “ups and downs” like many women, and that life events can sometimes lead to weight fluctuations. She also spoke about her "80/20" rule, where she focuses on healthy eating 80 percent of the time and allows for indulgences the remaining 20 percent. Despite these challenges, she encouraged women to be kind to themselves, advising them to “give themselves a break” and to “forgive yourself for putting on a few pounds” when life circumstances make it difficult to maintain strict regimens.
