Trinity Rodman, a forward for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, shared a picture on her Instagram Story showcasing a bold fashion statement as her boyfriend, tennis player Ben Shelton, geared up for his U.S. Open quarterfinal match against Carlos Alcaraz.
Rodman, who has been dating Shelton for over a year, has attended several of his matches during the tournament. She was notably present for his first two U.S. Open matches, going viral in the second round for wearing a crop top that read "I ❤️ my boyfriend."
Following those matches, Rodman had to return to her season with the Washington Spirit. However, with the Spirit having a full week off, her presence at Shelton's quarterfinal match was a possibility.
In her recent social media post, Rodman donned an oversized pinstriped Adidas jacket over a fitted black top and a matching short skirt. She accessorized with a small black handbag and paired the predominantly black outfit with white heels.
Shelton, ranked 23rd in the world, faced a significant challenge in his match against Alcaraz, considered one of the top players globally. Regardless of the match's outcome, Shelton was expected to have the support of the home crowd during his U.S. Open run.
