During an episode of "Wake Up Barstool," Compton shared his initial disbelief. "I didn't think nothing of it at first," he said. However, after seeing attendees and realizing "everybody else" was present, including sports analyst Dean Blandino, Compton expressed his surprise.
Barstool Sports creator Dave Portnoy confirmed that Blandino and "everybody at Tight End U" were in attendance. Compton indicated his intention to discuss the matter directly with Kelce. Following the viral clip, Compton tweeted about the "tough phone call" and its impact on his heart rate. He later clarified that he was in Italy during the wedding, attributing the context to T-Bob Hebert.
Compton has co-hosted the podcast "Bussin' With the Boys" with Taylor Lewan since 2019. Kelce has been a guest on the show multiple times, including an appearance in July 2023, prior to his relationship with Swift becoming public. In subsequent appearances, Kelce discussed his relationship with Swift, naming his top three favorite songs by the artist. He also commented on the challenges of Swift's fame, particularly the media attention.
The couple, who have been together since the summer of 2023, reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony, with over 1,000 guests attending a larger celebration. Guests, including Olympian Abby Wambach and "Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts, have described the event as "intimate."
