It appears not all close associates of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift received invitations to their recent wedding ceremony. The event, which took place last Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City, has continued to be a subject of widespread discussion.
While the guest list included numerous celebrities such as officiant Adam Sandler, producer Jack Antonoff, Selena Gomez, and Gigi Hadid, some individuals within the football community reportedly felt overlooked. Among them are former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, who co-host the popular podcast 'Bussin' With the Boys.'
During an episode of 'Wake Up Barstool' on Monday, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy spoke with Compton, who was in Italy at the time. Compton initially stated he did not give much thought to not receiving an invitation. However, upon seeing photos of other attendees, he expressed surprise that he and Lewan were not invited.
"I'm gonna be honest, I didn't think nothing of it," Compton told Portnoy. "Turns out, all these photos I keep seeing, I saw Dean Blandino got an invite? Is that real? As I've been seeing these photos of everybody else at the wedding, I'm kinda flabbergasted we didn't get the invite."
Compton and Lewan are known to be friends with Kelce and have featured him on their podcast. In June of the previous year, during Kelce's annual 'Tight End University' event, Lewan and Compton posed for a photograph with Kelce and Swift. The image, which also included George Kittle, showed the four individuals flexing their muscles. The accompanying caption on social media read, "Confirmed: Taylor Swift is FOR THE BOYS."
