Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has spoken for the first time about Wendy, the Samoyed dog he shares with singer Taylor Swift. Kelce discussed their pet on his "New Heights" podcast, co-hosted by his brother Jason Kelce.

During the podcast episode, Jason Kelce noted that news about Wendy had become public, referencing her appearance in a Tommy Hilfiger campaign featuring Travis Kelce. "She is officially a picture dog. We gotta get the line in her size," Travis Kelce responded, adding a quip about needing to design clothing for Wendy to match the brand.

Kelce mentioned that Swift was supportive of Wendy's involvement in the photoshoot. "It’s kind of crazy how perfect she looks in the Tommy Hilfiger world. She matches the brand and the shoot and it was pretty easy to get her to jump on the couch and have some fun with us," he said of the dog. He described Wendy as a "model dog."

Travis Kelce revealed that Wendy is now "a little over a year old" and that he and Swift have had her for an extended period, aiming to keep her ownership private. The dog's name, Wendy, has drawn attention for its potential connections to both Kelce and Swift. Kelce previously mentioned his fondness for the character Wendy Peffercorn from the film "The Sandlot," while Swift has referenced Peter Pan, a character associated with Wendy Darling in J.M. Barrie's stories.

Fans first became aware of the couple's dog ownership when an image of them with the white furry companion surfaced from their wedding. Wendy was later seen traveling with Kelce on Swift's private plane. Reports indicated that the couple acquired the dog several months prior, possessing her for close to a year.
