Travis Kelce has spoken about the intricate planning behind his proposal to Taylor Swift, days after the couple’s wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden. Kelce, 36, shared these reflections during the season four finale of his podcast, "New Heights," which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.

During the podcast, Kelce highlighted Swift's August 2025 appearance on the show as a memorable moment from the season, noting it as a significant personal event. "Ending this season with Tom Brady. Pretty epic. Starting it with Taylor. Pretty epic," he stated, juxtaposing the two guests.

Kelce recounted the day he proposed to Swift, which took place immediately after her podcast taping. "During that recording, the entire time I'm planning like, I'm gonna ask this woman to marry me after this," he recalled. He reiterated that "the beginning of it, with Taylor, is one I'll remember forever."

Jason Kelce agreed that Swift's appearance was a standout moment for the podcast, describing it as "by far, our most viewed episode of all time." Travis added that the experience was "pretty fun," with his brother emphasizing its incredible nature.

When prompted to name his favorite memory from season four, Jason struggled to identify one, particularly in comparison to the guests his brother had named. He even dismissed a producer's mention of his wife, Kylie Kelce, by stating he speaks to her daily. Travis quickly defended his sister-in-law, humorously noting that one should feel fortunate to speak with her every day.

While the exact filming date of the podcast episode remains unclear, reports suggest it was taped prior to the wedding. Sources indicate that as Kelce occupied Swift during her podcast recording last summer, a team was simultaneously working in his home garden to prepare the setting for the proposal.

Kelce reportedly hired a crew to set up the proposal site while Swift was occupied, allowing him to ask for her hand in marriage immediately after her recording session concluded. The couple announced their engagement in September 2025 with a joint Instagram post, humorously captioned, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Their recent wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden was attended by approximately 1,000 guests, including Swift's close friends such as Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, as well as many of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates. Swift first publicly discussed her relationship with the NFL player in her 2023 Time Person of the Year interview, describing them as two individuals supporting each other in their respective careers.
