Travis Kelce Cheers On Guardians to ALDS Victory Without Taylor Swift
The Chiefs tight end and minority team owner celebrated Cleveland's comeback win in Game 5.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce attended the Cleveland Guardians' decisive American League Division Series Game 5 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, witnessing his hometown team secure a comeback series win without his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Kelce, who acquired a minority stake in the Guardians in May, was observed in a suite alongside friends and other Guardians fans. He also spent time in a field-level viewing area during the game.
The Guardians achieved a 2-0 win in Game 5, completing a comeback after losing the first two games of the series. During the game, Kelce reacted enthusiastically to key plays, including José Ramírez's go-ahead two-run home run in the fourth inning. He was seen jumping, hugging friends, and celebrating the pivotal hit.
Following the win, Kelce was seen in the dugout area and was later pictured wearing a Guardians "Taste October" postseason shirt. The team's pitchers recorded a combined 21 strikeouts in the game, with starter Gavin Williams contributing 12.
While Kelce was in Cleveland, Swift was reportedly in New York City. According to reports, the couple had a date night in the city on Friday. Swift's presence at the game was not noted.
The Chiefs are currently on their bye week, allowing Kelce the opportunity to attend the game. He may attend upcoming ALCS games against the Tampa Bay Rays, which are scheduled to begin Monday.
