Travis Kelce was visibly emotional, described as a "puddle" of tears, when he saw Taylor Swift walk down the aisle at their July 3 wedding, according to sports commentator Joe Buck.
Buck shared these observations on the "Rates & Barrels" podcast over the weekend, recounting Kelce's reaction to seeing not only Swift but also his nieces, who walked down a specially constructed ramp. "When [Swift] walked out, he was a puddle," Buck said.
The wedding ceremony, officiated by actor Adam Sandler, took place at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Swift and Kelce, both 36, exchanged vows that Buck characterized as "long," but "well written," with sentiments that were "funny," "sweet," and "emotional."
An insider told the Daily Mail that Swift also teared up during Kelce's 20-minute vows, particularly when he "promised to protect her forever." The source added that while Kelce appeared "nervous," he "kept it together" during his promise to Swift.
The couple, who began dating in 2023, married in front of over 1,000 guests. Attendees reportedly adhered to a strict no-phone policy. Celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, and Tom Cruise were among the guests. Both Swift and Kelce wore Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson. The reception featured lavish prizes for guests, including designer bags and Cartier watches.
Following their wedding, the couple briefly stepped away from public view before attending the July 10 wedding of Kelce's former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster to Laura Kruk. Two days later, Kelce was seen arriving alone in Palm Beach, Florida, with the couple's dog.
