A traveler, identified only as "Anthony," won $3.3 million on a "Wheel of Fortune" slot machine at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) over the weekend. The winning jackpot came after a $10 bet in the airport's C Gates.

Harry Reid International Airport is one of two commercial airports in the United States that features in-terminal gambling, with the other being Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Michael Gaughan’s Airport Slot Concession operates more than 1,400 machines across the terminals. These machines generate millions in annual revenue, which helps to offset airline operating costs and can contribute to more competitive airfares.

This is not the first large jackpot won at the airport. In May, another traveler won $1.8 million on a $5 bet, also on a "Wheel of Fortune" machine in the D Gates. Previous notable wins include a $1.4 million jackpot and a $1.3 million win in 2023.

While the winner will be subject to a 24% federal tax withholding on the winnings, Nevada does not tax personal income or gambling winnings.
