Transgender Former Police Officer Confesses to Rape of Teen
A transgender former anti-terror police officer, Maja S., has confessed to raping a 15-year-old girl in a McDonald's restroom in Germany, facing a potential three-and-a-half-year prison sentence.
Maja S., 55, a transgender former anti-terror police officer, has confessed to the rape of a 15-year-old girl. The confession was made before the Traunstein Regional Court, where Maja S. appeared in handcuffs and leg irons.
According to Judge Andreas Bartschmid, Maja S. is likely to receive a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence in exchange for her confession. The incident occurred in August 2025 after Maja S. invited the acquaintance's daughter on a motorcycle tour, which concluded at a McDonald's restroom. The prosecutor stated that Maja S. took advantage of a moment of surprise, entered the toilet cubicle the victim was in, and locked the door.
Following the alleged rape, Maja S.'s fiancé, Stefanie Z., discovered a sexual message on Maja S.'s phone. Stefanie Z. confronted the 15-year-old, who revealed that she had ended up in the toilet with Maja S., who then kissed and touched her. Stefanie Z. subsequently reported the incident to the Federal Police.
The indictment details that the victim was unable to react and stared at the accused in shock. After Maja S. left the cubicle, the victim, trembling, locked herself in the toilet.
Maja S. is also accused of assaulting the 15-year-old on another occasion after a trip to the swimming pool. The victim reportedly woke up the next morning in Maja S.'s bed without any clothes on, with no recollection of what had happened.
At the start of the trial, Maja S. confessed to most of the charges behind closed doors to spare the victim from testifying. Maja S. has been ordered to pay the victim €5,000. The trial is ongoing.
In addition to the rape charges, approximately 2,000 files containing child and animal pornography were found in Maja S.'s possession. A Kalashnikov rifle was also seized by police. The alleged criminal activity dates back to 2024, when Maja S. reportedly uploaded pornographic material for pedophiles online, including depictions of abuse involving three-year-old children. These uploads led to raids at Maja S.'s police station and home, where colleagues discovered further child and bestiality pornography, as well as the rifle.
Maja S. was suspended from police duties and later fined €19,000 (£16,000). Initially held in the women's section of the Bamberg prison, Maja S. has spent the last five months in the men's section of the Stadelheim prison. Her defense lawyer, Peter Dürr, described this as a "serious burden" on her daily life, noting that she is whistled at during exercise periods and subjected to examinations by male officers.
