Thameslink railway line renamed a station "Jude Bellingham station" to honor the England player. The temporary name change coincided with England's World Cup match against Mexico and was intended to boost team morale.

"With the gift of Bellingham station on our network, we couldn't resist joining in on some World Cup fun," Thameslink said in a statement. "We unveiled Jude Bellingham station ahead of England's match again Mexico as a nice way to cheer on our team - little did we know then that Jude would end up scoring two out of the three goals in the game."

The renaming aimed to rally support for England during the tournament. The station is set to revert to its original name on Monday.

Following England's victory, Bellingham was quoted as telling fans, "Text your bosses, tell them you're not coming in, simple as that."
