Tracker Season 4 Premieres October 4 with New Cases and Brotherly Drama
Justin Hartley returns as bounty hunter Colter Shaw in the hit CBS drama, which was renewed early for its fourth season.
The popular CBS drama "Tracker," starring Justin Hartley as bounty hunter Colter Shaw, is set to return for its fourth season on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The early renewal for Season 4 comes as the show continues to be a ratings success for the network, often celebrated as "the No. 1 show on broadcast television."
The season premiere, titled "Safe Harbor," will air from 9:30 to 10:30 PM ET/9:00 to 10:00 PM PT on CBS. The episode will follow Colter's investigation into the disappearance of a teenage boy's father, a case that leads him to a criminal operation at the Port of Los Angeles. The episode is written by Alex Katnelson & Annakate Chappell and directed by Joel Novoa. Derek Phillips and Hiram Murray are set to guest star.
Season 3 concluded with Colter finding a sense of home at a furnished garage, working on his father's old truck with his friend Keaton. While Colter felt he gained some closure about his father's life, his brother Russell (Jensen Ackles) was still entangled in the fallout of their father's secrets. Russell made a deal with McIntyre, agreeing to work for him in exchange for their father's file and his eventual freedom. To protect Colter, Russell asked Reenie (Fiona Rene) to cover for him before leaving without saying goodbye to his brother.
Ackles is confirmed to return for Season 4, appearing in at least one episode, with the potential for more appearances in the new year. Hartley indicated that Russell will reach out to Colter for help with a non-self-inflicted predicament involving a friend, which will lead to the brothers reuniting for an adventure. There is also a possibility of the return of Melissa Roxburgh as Colter and Russell's sister, Dory.
New episodes of "Tracker" will be available for streaming on Paramount+ following their broadcast on CBS. The series joins a slate of content on the platform, which offers two subscription tiers: Essential and Premium. All previous seasons are also available on Paramount+.
