The Hollywood Walk of Fame, once a symbol of Tinseltown's glamour, is now drawing criticism from tourists who describe it as a "crack den" due to years of disrepair. Visitors arriving with expectations of glitz and glamor are instead encountering what they describe as human waste on sidewalks, widespread litter, and an overall sense of neglect.

A travel content creator, identified only as Jasmine, documented her recent visit to Los Angeles on TikTok, calling the Walk of Fame the "worst place in LA" to visit. In her videos, she shared observations of "unpleasant sights" and highlighted the area's prominent homeless crisis. "To me, it's just crazy that this is one of the most famous places in the whole entire world. Just feels so deflating," she stated, expressing that her experience was "absolutely nothing like I imagined."

Other tourists echoed these sentiments in the comments of her videos. One user remarked, "I was massively disappointed, especially Hollywood, that was like a crack den." Another visitor who traveled during Oscar week noted, "it's so sooooo run down, we went on Oscar week so a lot of it was hidden and covered over."

This decline in the Walk of Fame's condition has also been noted by travel analysts. In January, analysts from the travel company Stasher reportedly ranked the Walk of Fame as the "worst tourist attraction on the planet," citing its low Google rating and safety score.

The area has also been the site of violent incidents. In May, a man was fatally stabbed on the Walk of Fame after reportedly defending himself from a dog attack. This incident adds to concerns about safety in the vicinity.
