A lobster fisherman in Northeast Harbor, Maine, reported that approximately $500 worth of her daily catch was stolen on July 24. Lindsay McDaniels, a lobster trapper who fishes off Mount Desert Island, discovered 30 lobsters missing from her crate on a local dock. \n\nSecurity footage from the harbor shows two men, described by McDaniels as appearing to be tourists, carrying a basket filled with lobsters. The individuals were seen grinning as they left the dock with the stolen catch around 6:15 p.m. the day prior to the report. McDaniels shared a screenshot from the video on Facebook in an effort to identify the individuals and recover her property. \n\nMcDaniels noted that the men appeared to be "from away" and that she was unable to obtain a license plate number from their vehicle. She also indicated they searched the docks with two large laundry baskets before loading the stolen lobsters. \n\n\n\nMcDaniels, who fishes with her 16-year-old daughter, reported the incident to the Mount Desert Police Department, who are investigating with assistance from the Maine Marine Patrol.
