Tori Spelling has unexpectedly departed the "90210MG" podcast, which she co-hosted with longtime friend and former "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Jennie Garth, sparking rumors of a feud between the two.

Spelling, 53, announced her exit earlier this week, stating she was leaving to pursue other opportunities. She encouraged fans to continue listening to Garth, 54, who will now host the podcast solo. The pair had been recapping episodes of their iconic 1990s show since 2020.

The abrupt departure has led some fans to express skepticism, with comments labeling the exit as "strange" and "disappointing." Garth, speaking on Friday, did not quell the speculation. "I’m sad that she’s not finishing this out with us. We started this together and I’m sad about that, if I’m honest, which I always am," Garth said. She added that she was "really happy for [Spelling] … to choose herself."

The podcast producer, Amy Sugarman, confirmed that the decision was entirely Spelling's. "This was 100 percent her decision," Sugarman stated. "Two things can be true: we can be really bummed and disappointed that she’s not going to do Seasons 9 and 10 with us, while still wanting her to be happy and to be excited for her about the things she’s working on and does want to do."

Spelling and Garth had been in the midst of rewatching the eighth season of "Beverly Hills, 90210" before Spelling's recent departure from the podcast episodes. In the original series, Spelling portrayed Donna Martin, while Garth played Kelly Taylor.

In 2020, when the podcast launched, Spelling had spoken about her decades-long friendship with Garth. "We've been friends for 30 years," Spelling told People at the time. "We've gone through decades of change as women, we're moms now and it's really the one relationship that has stayed all this time."

She further described their podcast as a way to combine their personal friendship with their shared history on the show, telling People, "Fans always say to us, 'We can't believe you're actually best friends.' We wanted to do a girlfriends podcast and then blended it with 90210 to do it for the fans. We have a lot to talk about."
