Topo Chico, a cult-favorite mineral water brand, is beginning to reappear on store shelves across the United States after a months-long shortage that left consumers searching for alternatives.

Texas grocery giant H-E-B confirmed to Fox News Digital that supplies of the Coca-Cola-owned beverage have started returning. However, an H-E-B representative stated that availability remains limited, describing the return as "slowly hitting store shelves in limited quantities."

Fans of the sparkling water have taken to social media to share their excitement and sightings. Online posts indicate that Topo Chico has been spotted at H-E-B locations in Texas and even at a Sam's Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as of late September. One user on Reddit noted, "The burn I have missed for months 🤤 Refreshing," after finding the product.

The shortage began earlier this year, with Topo Chico largely unavailable nationwide since February. Coca-Cola attributed the scarcity to necessary upgrades at facilities connected to the water source and production sites in Mexico. The company had previously informed Fox News Digital that these upgrades were tied to safety and quality priorities and aimed to have the product back later in the year.

Mineral water, unlike ordinary seltzer, must originate from specific natural sources, which can complicate scaling production to meet demand. The growing American appetite for premium mineral water had seen shoppers turn to competing brands during Topo Chico's absence. While the gradual reappearance has begun, some consumers, particularly in regions like California, are still awaiting its return.
