Tony Romo has been placed on leave from his role at CBS Sports "until further notice" following his arrest for allegedly operating while intoxicated (OWI) in Wisconsin.
A representative for the network confirmed the leave of absence on Friday. Romo, the lead NFL game color analyst for CBS Sports, was arrested last week in Milwaukee County, according to a sheriff's office report.
Romo was stopped by a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office deputy for "unsafe passing" while driving on I-43. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback retired from playing football in April 2017 and began his broadcasting career with CBS Sports shortly thereafter.
Romo has not publicly addressed the incident, and representatives for him have not responded to requests for comment. This is a developing story.
