Tony Adams, the former England footballer, has moved from the Cotswolds to London to support his wife, Poppy Teacher, as she begins her master's degree studies.
Adams, 59, and Teacher, 52, sold their eight-bedroom Cotswolds residence, which they purchased in 2002. The property, located near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, was set on five acres and included amenities such as a swimming pool, tennis courts, stables, and a two-bedroom cottage. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher reportedly purchased the home for £4 million.
"This is a new era for us," Adams stated at a recent event promoting his book, "1996: Reflections On The Year That Changed My Life." He explained that they are currently renting in north London while searching for a new permanent residence.
Teacher, a whisky heiress, expressed her desire to study early modern history, a pursuit Adams initially questioned in terms of its financial viability. "You don't!" she responded when asked about monetizing the degree. While Adams humorously describes her studies as a PhD, Teacher clarified that she is pursuing a master's degree.
Teacher stated that she wants to "use my brain again" after raising their children and that she and Adams are looking forward to a more active London lifestyle, including visiting galleries. The couple married in 2004, two years after Adams's recovery from alcoholism, and have three children together. Adams also has three children from his first marriage.
Other news from the social circuit includes Sir Mick Jagger's daughter Georgia putting her organic skincare range, May Botanicals, on hold after three years to focus on family, modeling, and her other business, Bleach London. Additionally, actress Natalie Dormer has seen significant financial returns from her company Pangur, with accounts showing a £400,000 profit in 2025, increasing its net worth to £1.7 million. Sally Phillips, star of "Bridget Jones," shared a humorous anecdote about being told by a cosmetician that at 56, she required powder due to having a "cracked wall" complexion. Meanwhile, Mountbatten heiress Phoebe Knatchbull, who previously wore a tuxedo dress for her civil ceremony, opted for a traditional bridal gown at a second celebration in Portugal with her husband, banker Leopold Glover. In a separate note, the Duchess of Sussex's comments about her childhood diet on "MasterChef Australia" have drawn comparisons to her earlier statements on her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan," where she described a diet of fast food and microwaveable meals.
