Boxer Tommy Fury has drawn significant backlash after publicly criticizing Kim Kardashian's extensive use of nannies, only to later admit that he and partner Molly-Mae Hague also employ childcare assistance.
During an episode of his podcast, "What The Fury?," with his father John Fury, the younger Fury commented on reports that Kardashian utilizes a large team of nannies for her four children with ex-husband Kanye West. John Fury stated, "If you can't look after these kids yourself, don't have them." Tommy Fury initially suggested he didn't know the full story but then added, "I don't understand people who just dump the kids with nannies and mannies all day."
Momentarily after these remarks, Fury revealed that he and Hague utilize help for their two young children, daughter Bambi and son Midas. "I'm all for having some help on board and help you out – me and Molly, we have help," Fury stated. He clarified that their own childcare is used when he or Hague are occupied with work. "The baby's looked after all the time," he added.
Fury's comments ignited criticism online, with some listeners arguing he did not grasp the "mental load of being the primary caregiver." One widely shared sentiment stated, "Not sure I agree with men telling women how to mother their children." Other reactions pointed out that Hague's family also provides assistance, and that Fury's help is paid for, unlike potentially familial support. Another comment suggested Fury's perspective failed to consider Kardashian's demanding work schedule. "Because it’s a form of childcare like a nursery or childminder for people who have to work," read one user's response.
Following the public reaction, Fury and Hague were seen attending brunch with their daughter Bambi in Cheshire. Fury and Hague, who met on "Love Island" in 2019, were dressed in activewear for the outing.
