Fox News host Tomi Lahren has spoken out against rapper Macklemore for his pro-Palestine remarks, stating that such actions detract from the performances of headliner Ed Sheeran. Lahren, speaking on Fox News' "Hannity," called Macklemore a “moron” for his stance.

"Poor Ed Sheeran, by the way," Lahren said. "He is the actual headliner here, and his opening acts — not just Macklemore, but now the other ones that are dropping out in solidarity— they’re taking all the shine away from Ed Sheeran and his tour, where he’s out there to actually play music to people who want to hear good music."

Macklemore was removed from the remaining dates of Sheeran's tour after he proclaimed "Free Palestine" onstage at MetLife Stadium. He stated that his intention was to ensure that people in Gaza and the West Bank knew they were not forgotten. Macklemore accused Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft of giving Sheeran an ultimatum.

Macklemore also posted on Instagram that Sheeran was in a difficult position, noting that Sheeran's "typical apolitical stance was being challenged." He relayed that Sheeran had informed him that the phrase "Free Palestine" and the Palestinian flag were hurtful to many people.

Following Macklemore's removal, several other artists, including Finneas O’Connell and the bands Beoga and Lukas Graham, withdrew from Sheeran's tour in solidarity. Lahren further criticized Macklemore, questioning his relevance in the music industry and calling his remarks “blatantly anti-Semitic.”

Sheeran addressed the situation, stating that the decision to remove Macklemore was made by the promoter. He expressed dismay over the conflict between Israel and Palestine, calling the suffering on both sides a human tragedy.
