Tom Welling Reacts to Accidental Naked Photo Share with Witty Remark

Tom Welling, 49, is taking his recent accidental Instagram post of a nude reflection in stride. The "Smallville" star found himself in the spotlight over the weekend when a snapshot of the New York City skyline he uploaded from his hotel room inadvertently revealed his naked reflection in the window.

Welling, who has 2.3 million followers on the platform, responded humorously to the incident. He commented on a social media post by Trevor Larcom, which poked fun at the situation with a caption reading, "POV you're a tourist in NYC and see Tom Welling standing at his hotel window on October 10th." Welling's reply, "Came for the sights," garnered over 63,000 likes.

The actor was in New York City for a "Smallville" reunion event, "The Road to Superman: 25 Years of Smallville," alongside co-stars Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, and Michael Rosenbaum. The show originally aired from October 2001 to May 2011, chronicling the early life of Clark Kent.

Welling and Rosenbaum have expressed interest in a "Smallville" revival, though Welling recently told Screen Rant that securing permission from Warner Brothers has been a challenge. He described the situation as the studio not prioritizing the idea, leading to a lack of response.

Beyond "Smallville," Welling has appeared in the TV series "Lucifer" and the "Cheaper by the Dozen" films. He also recently starred in the movie "Chasing Summer," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Alongside Rosenbaum, Welling hosts the "Smallville" rewatch podcast "TalkVille." He and his family relocated from Los Angeles to a ranch in Northern California in 2020.
