Tom Sandoval and his ex-girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson had discussed ending their relationship prior to a physical altercation that led to their split and subsequent legal entanglements. The reality star, 43, and model, 34, had been talking about parting ways after Sandoval left for Panama in April for three weeks to film a Netflix survival competition series, sources told TMZ.
During the filming, Sandoval was without his phone for the three-week period. Upon his return, he and Robinson discussed the future of their relationship. Insiders stated that Robinson was looking to move on, while Sandoval appeared to want to remain a couple. The two ultimately decided to stay together, but their relationship deteriorated in the following months.
Sandoval's representative, however, offered a different account, stating that Sandoval had attempted to end the relationship on multiple occasions, but did not, claiming Robinson vowed to make false allegations against him if he did. The representative also told the outlet that Robinson and her father lived with Sandoval for nearly two years, during which Sandoval covered most of the rent. He claimed he was forced to pursue legal action to have Robinson and her father vacate the premises before he could retrieve his belongings.
Robinson, who was denied a restraining order against Sandoval earlier this month, has denied these allegations, according to reports.
Incident Details
Robinson was arrested on June 3 following an incident where Sandoval told authorities she had struck him. He submitted photos of injuries he claimed he sustained during the altercation in a Los Angeles court filing. In footage of the event, Sandoval can be seen pushing Robinson's father, Will, into a lit fire pit during an argument. The incident occurred when Sandoval questioned Robinson about recording their conversation. As Sandoval leaned into Robinson's personal space, her father reportedly intervened by grabbing Sandoval's waist to pull him away. Sandoval then appeared to push Will Robinson with both hands, causing him to fall into the fire pit. Sandoval then retreated into the house, followed by Robinson's father.
According to Sandoval's court filing, Will Robinson also grabbed him and punched a hole in a spare bedroom door where Sandoval was attempting to barricade himself. Sandoval also alleged that Victoria Robinson entered the spare bedroom and hit his face and temple area, causing his vision to blur, which he captured on video. He stated that he contacted the police at that point, leading to Robinson's arrest. She was later released on bond.
Sandoval expressed regret over allegedly helping to bail Robinson out of jail after accepting a call from her and sending money to her mother.
