Tom Holland has ascended to become Hollywood's highest-grossing actor, a feat achieved following the success of his recent films, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" and "The Odyssey."

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has generated $2.45 billion worldwide, while "The Odyssey" has brought in $1.68 billion globally. These combined revenues have pushed Holland's career box office total to $15.5 billion, according to Comicbook.com. This figure places him ahead of fellow actors Zoe Saldana, whose total stands at $15.46 billion, and Scarlett Johansson, with $15.40 billion.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is now among the top three highest-grossing films globally, trailing only "Avatar" ($2.92 billion) and "Avengers: Endgame" ($2.79 billion). Domestically, the film has earned over $935 million, making it the second-highest earner behind "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" ($936 million).

"The Odyssey" has also achieved significant success, being the only non-sequel or remake outside of "Avatar" to surpass $1 billion in worldwide revenue. The film has reportedly earned Holland at least $100 million, with a $20 million base salary for his role as Peter Parker potentially eclipsed by backend bonuses due to the film's performance. Unlike previous contracts, there is reportedly no monetary cap on his earnings from "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

Holland's earnings from his portrayal of Spider-Man have increased substantially over the years. He initially earned $250,000 for his first appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" in 2016. This was followed by $500,000 for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2017, $4 million for "Spider-Man: Far From Home" in 2019, and $10 million for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021. His initial six-film deal with Sony for the role concluded with "No Way Home."

Holland's financial growth has drawn comparisons to Robert Downey Jr.'s career trajectory in the Iron Man franchise. Downey, who earned $500,000 for the first "Iron Man" in 2008, saw his earnings escalate to approximately $50 million for "Iron Man 3" in 2013. His subsequent Marvel appearances, including a brief role in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and significant earnings from "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame," have also been substantial.
