Actor Tom Holland and his wife, Zendaya, gifted a luxury trip to Japan to Holland's parents after the couple themselves were too fatigued from extensive international promotions for their recent films, "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

Dominic Holland, Tom's father, revealed that the demanding schedule, which included approximately 20 ten-hour flights and global travel, left him and Zendaya too tired to enjoy the planned vacation. Instead, they offered the first-class trip to his parents, Nicola and Dominic.

"He and Zendaya have done probably twice around the globe to promote these films," Dominic Holland explained at the Queen's Park Book Festival in London. "They were tired, they'd probably done maybe 20, 10-hour flights and about three days after the London premiere, he said, 'dad we've got this holiday to Japan' and I said 'that'll be nice Tom, you'll enjoy it.' And he said, 'dad it's too far and I'm too tired. What I thought I'd do dad is that I'd send you and mum instead.'"

Dominic Holland humorously recounted that while the trip was luxurious, featuring first-class travel and a posh hotel, staff at various establishments were often expecting the Hollywood star rather than his father. "The strata of disappointment they are expecting Tom Holland and they get Dominic," he joked.

Tom Holland and Zendaya, who have been romantically linked since meeting on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016, reportedly tied the knot again in a private ceremony at the five-star Beaverbrook Hotel in Surrey. The event was said to have cost approximately £500,000, with strict measures in place to prevent leaks.

Holland recently spoke about his happiness with Zendaya in an interview with Esquire UK, stating, "I found my person, I'm the happiest I've ever been." The couple made their first joint red carpet appearance in five years at a promotional event for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" in Madrid.
