Tom Cruise provided a glimpse into his conversation with Taylor Swift at a recent Kansas City Chiefs game, revealing that the pop star was knowledgeable about the sport.
Appearing on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon, Cruise recounted that Swift was "schooling me on football" during the Chiefs' season opener. The actor, who was promoting his new film "Digger," mentioned it was his first game since before the COVID-19 pandemic and described the experience as "a lot of fun."
Cruise also noted that Swift shared how her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was very patient in explaining the game to her. "I said, ‘I’m sure he was,’" Cruise quipped, adding, "I think everybody would be very patient."
Beyond the football discussion, Cruise offered high praise for Swift, calling her a "genius" and stating he had followed her career since she was young. He described Swift and Kelce's families and friends present in the suite as a "beautiful couple and magical in their own right."
"She’s funny, she’s got such a great sense of humor. A brilliant writer also. Brilliant. Brilliant musician and director. Very skilled," Cruise said of Swift.
