The incident, captured on security camera footage, occurred while the woman was on a work break. Cruise, 64, is seen approaching the employee, who was crouched in a corner with her phone, and gently tapping her shoulder to inquire if she was alright. The woman, visibly surprised, looked up and did a double-take upon realizing it was the actor.
After confirming she was not in distress, the employee stood up to shake Cruise's hand, appearing shocked by the encounter. They then exchanged waves as Cruise departed. The employee later shared the footage on TikTok, explaining in her caption that she was in "complete shock" during the initial interaction and could barely speak his name. She was able to request a photo with him when he passed by again later.
The encounter took place during Cruise's promotional tour for his upcoming film, "Digger." He recently debuted a bright red hair color at the film's premiere in London.
In "Digger," Cruise plays an oil tycoon and billionaire who inadvertently triggers a global ecological crisis. The role required him to wear a bodysuit and prosthetics to portray an aged character. The film, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, also features John Goodman as the US President.
