Tom Cruise Discusses 'Genius' Taylor Swift and Football Insights

Tom Cruise, 64, has revealed the nature of his conversation with Taylor Swift, 36, during her appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday. The Hollywood star was seated beside Swift in her VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs' season opener against the Denver Broncos.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cruise was asked about his interaction with Swift. "When the biggest movie star in the world is sitting next to the biggest artist in the world, what do you talk about?" Fallon inquired.

Cruise described Swift as a "genius" and "brilliant," stating that she "schooled" him on football. Their discussion also touched upon their respective professional fields. "She was schooling me on football," Cruise confirmed to Fallon. He added that Swift "knows her stuff" and was actively engaged with the game.

Cruise also expressed admiration for Swift and her friends and family present in the suite, calling them a "beautiful couple and magical in their own right."

He noted that he had not attended a football game since before the COVID-19 pandemic due to his work schedule. "So to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot of fun," he said.

Cruise recalled Swift sharing an anecdote about Kelce's patience, telling Fallon, "She said, 'You know, he's so patient.' I said, 'I'm sure he was.' I think everybody would be very patient [with her]." He then remarked, "[Now] she knows [about football] ... she's just bringing it."

Beyond football, their conversation at the game also encompassed music and movies. Cruise complimented Swift's sense of humor, describing her as "funny" and a "brilliant writer," musician, and director.

Cruise was among the notable attendees at a July 3 event in New York City involving Swift and Kelce.
