Tom Cruise Calls Kate Middleton a 'Smart Choice' by Prince William
The actor praised the Prince and Princess of Wales for their charisma and dedication.
Tom Cruise has lauded Prince William's decision to marry Kate Middleton, calling it a "smart choice." The actor shared his admiration for the Prince and Princess of Wales following their attendance at the world premiere of Cruise's new film, "Digger," in London.
During an interview at the Los Angeles premiere of "Digger," Cruise described Middleton as possessing an "incredible sense of humor" and praised her "stunning" custom purple Jenny Packham gown worn at the London event. "William did well," Cruise added with a wink. "Way to go. Smart choice."
The "Mission: Impossible" star expressed his enjoyment in seeing the royal couple engage with the film, stating it was "so fun" to have them "be part of it." He further elaborated on his respect for the Prince and Princess of Wales, noting their dedication to their country and their global contributions.
"They’re just beautiful people and fun, very funny," Cruise commented, referring to both William and Middleton, who are 44 years old. The actor mentioned mingling with the couple at the ODEON Luxe Leicester Square, where photographs captured them sharing laughter and conversation.
Prince William and Kate Middleton married in April 2011 at Westminster Abbey. They are parents to three children: Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8.
The premieres of "Digger" were attended by several other notable figures, including Salma Hayek, David and his sons Cruz and Romeo Beckham, and Jodie Turner-Smith.
